Foster Love

We believe that caring for orphans and vulnerable children is at the heart of the Gospel, and we feel that one of the best ways to care is by serving families who are fostering or who have adopted. Half of all foster parents quit within one year of their first placement which then causes kids to move from home to home. Being surrounded by a Care Community can greatly diminish the possibility of this happening. A Care Community is made up of 6-8 people who make a year commitment to serving a family through providing meals, housework, running errands, babysitting, and mentoring.

Another way you can serve is through the Care Portal. Careportal.org is a tool to connect the needs of families with those able to provide. K2 serves this ministry through the For the Orphan Network. After creating a login on the Careportal website you can choose to be notified by text or email. Needs range from diapers and formula to furniture and household goods.
