Serve Locally

Well, there’s never a shortage of opportunities to serve the local community here at K2… and we believe that it’s downright Biblical!

South Salt Lake: K2 currently resides in South Salt Lake. It has the greatest concentration of poverty and the worst education in Utah. We’re helping to change that and you can too! By serving at the Police Athletic League you can help change the life of a young person who resides in South Salt Lake.

K2 supports the following organizations:

Holding Out Help: Individuals and families from polygamist communities are losing their homes on a daily basis. Many teens and children are forced out of the community they know and away from their families with no place to go. Alongside Holding Out Help, you can join K2 by helping provide housing, counseling, and love for these people.

The Vine Institute: Connecting and equipping Christian leaders from among God’s diverse people, strengthening churches in Utah, and celebrating God’s glory. Our leadership team has 25 years of experience teaching theological education and working cross-culturally both in Utah and abroad. In collaboration with many churches and organizations we have trained hundreds of active ministry leaders from more then 70 different congregations representing more than 30 denominations and 25 different cultures!

Rescue Mission: The Rescue Mission of Salt Lake exists to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the homeless, addicted and/or poor through humanitarian efforts and faith and maturity in Jesus Christ. The Rescue Mission of Salt Lake does not accept any federal, state, or city funding. Our ministries are wholly supported through the generous tax-deductible contributions and donations of our friends and supporters.

Jewels: Jewels exists to support women in the adult entertainment industry. Our mission is to reach women with the message that they are loved and valued. Through monthly visits to Salt Lake Valley strip clubs, we reach women by giving gift bags along with a powerful message to the women that they are valued, cherished and loved as they are, wherever they are. In addition to strip club outreach, we continue to provide encouragement, support, guidance and loveto women who either have been or are currently working in any aspect of the sex industry.

For The Orphan Network: For the Orphan Network is a church-based movement aimed at engaging, equipping, mobilizing, and uniting the local church in the Salt Lake Valley to become an extension of God’s love to orphans & vulnerable children, both locally & globally.  FTON is made up of churches, individual advocates, community partners, and agencies who are passionate about sharing ideas and collaborating on ways to serve through adoption, foster care & international orphan care.
